Since 2024
Ravaan started because we could not find a hoodie that survived more than two winters. Everything at our price point was thin, twisted after three washes, and had a hood that gave up by spring.
So we did the boring thing. We spent a year on fabric instead of branding — visiting mills, buying competitors' garments and cutting them apart, and learning why a 500gsm loopback knitted slowly behaves nothing like a 500gsm loopback knitted fast.
What came out of that is a short, deliberately unexciting catalogue. Hoodies, crews, tees, sweats, a few jackets. Nothing seasonal, nothing trend-led, nothing we wouldn't wear ourselves for the next five years.
We make four hundred of each and then stop. Partly because that is what we can fund without outside money, and partly because a garment that exists forever stops being worth caring about.
01
Every style is cut once, in a run of four hundred. No restocks, no clearance racks, no warehouse full of last season.
02
The cloth is the most expensive line item in everything we make, and the one we refuse to move on. Trims and packaging come second.
03
No wholesale, no department stores, no middle margin. What you'd pay a retailer goes into the garment instead.
